The Handover Ceremony for the Mechanical and Electrical System Upgrade Project was held in Ampang Jajar Besut, IADA KETARA. The handover of this project was completed by the Deputy Director General, Specialist Sector of the Malaysian Irrigation and Drainage Department - JPS, Dato' Ir. Rozman bin Mohamad to the Secretary of the Development Division of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM), His Highness Tuan Haji Norazli bin Indzam. Also present are YBrs. Ir. Ts. Hajah Hapida binti Ghazali, Director of the Mechanical & Electrical Services Division of JPS Malaysia, YBrs. Ir. Yuslina binti Hj. Mohd. Sani, Director of Agricultural Irrigation and Drainage KPKM, YBrs. Ir. Ts. Osman bin Abdullah Director of Terengganu Irrigation and Drainage, Puan Nur Arina binti Ismail, Assistant Secretary of KPKM Rice Development Division. The Mechanical and Electrical System Upgrading Works Project and Other Related Works in Ampang Jajar Besut, IADA Ketara, Terengganu is an initiative of the Federal Government through the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM) to ensure mechanical and electrical components in Ampang Jajar Besut this is in an efficient state, ready and able to function well to irrigate the IADA KETARA agricultural area. The implementation of this project has been entrusted to the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia to be implemented under the AP182 project which was started on 7 December 2022 and was fully completed on 25 February 2024 at a cost of RM4.6 million.
