The Mechanical and Electrical Services Division of JPS Terengganu has carried out work to upgrade the Kuala Terengganu Manir Gate to improve flood control efficiency. The scope of work of this project is to upgrade manual sluice gates to electric systems, replacement of wooden sluice gates to steel ones, installation of flap gates and stabilization of river banks.
